ABOUT: The St. Joseph County Conservation and Sportsman Club, Inc. (SJCCC) is a membership-based facility with some select activities open to the general public. The Club was established in 1937 to promote conservation, fishing, hunting, and safe, ethical participation in the shooting sports. It has a non-profit 501 c (4) tax status. It has no paid employees. The Club is affiliated with MUCC (Michigan United Conservation Clubs).
THE FACILITY: The Club totals 182 acres and offers a wide range of amenities. There are 10 ranges for a variety of shooting opportunities, including trap, skeet, 5-Stand sporting clays, 100 and 200/300-yard rifle ranges, two handgun ranges, Cowboy Action Shooting, a 4-H target archery range, and a 3-D archery course. The Club holds IDPA shoots, cowboy action shoots, muzzleloading shoots, high-power and smallbore rifle shoots, and registered ATA trap shoots. CPL classes are available. The Club supports youth shooting activities through Hunter Education Safety classes, 4-H Shooting Sports, SCTP & AIM shotgun teams, and a Scholastic Pistol & Rifle (SASP) team. The Clubhouse has ADA Compliant/Handicap Assessible Restrooms.
NON-PROFIT STATUS: The St. Joseph County Conservation & Sportsman Club has a 501(c)(4) tax-exempt organization status. Under this rule, donations to the club are generally not deductible on your individual taxes as charitable contributions.
