The Lower Range: Rifle and Pistol Ranges & IDPA Range



OVERVIEW: The Club has a 100 and 200/300 yard rifle range plus a separate pistol range that is open to members for their use during daylight hours. A portion of each range is covered and heated for winter shooting. There is also a special use IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association) Range used for classes and planned practices, matches, and other activities for concealed pistol, defensive rifle and shotgun training.  Youth activities including 4-H shooting sports of riflery, including BB Gun, and SASP (Scholastic Action Shooting Program) with rifle and pistol are conducted on these various ranges.

  • Special Use range, not open for general use by membership

  • CPL and advanced defensive training classes are held on this range

  • Youth Rifle and Pistol SASP Team practices and competitions are held on this range

  • Annual "Hoosier Daddy" IDPA multi-day shoot is nationally known
